Compass Point Advisory (CPA) offers expert knowledge, skill and experience to businesses, ranging from self-employed sole traders and varied corporate entities and financial institutions looking for an independent perspective, in assessing business opportunity or risk.

CPA provides ‘on-going general advisory support’ on a retainer basis.

CPA also provides consultancy support, to resolve ‘existing issues and challenges on a case-by-case basis.

General advisory support - CPA assists clients to sustainably improve management of businesses. We use data analysis to support decision-making, compiling succinct, objective, position papers for boards of directors to warn them of developing risks.

Consultancy for specific matters - CPA assists management teams in reaching practical resolution of existing issues / challenges.

CPA’s services extend to helping businesses prepare meeting notices, agendas, minutes, board and committee reports, resolutions, and high-quality drafting of annual director’s reports, miscellaneous financial writing and other project work.

CPA assists businesses in their procurement processes by drafting, reviewing and editing RfPs.

The advisory / consultation team at CPA

Director Ravi de Silva LLB.,Sri Lanka and FCIB, UK, Attorney at Law Sri Lanka served from 2017 to end 2024 as Secretary General of the Sri Lanka Banks’ Association (SLBA) representing all Licensed Banks in Sri Lanka.

Through his role at SLBA, he served as,


(a). Secretary board of directors Financial Ombudsman Sri Lanka (FOSL)

(b). Observer’ on board of directors of LankaPay Pvt Ltd

(c). Board member of Lanka Financial Services Bureau.

He has had close working relationships with participants in the banking and financial sectors as well as regulatory authorities.

During his long career in banking, beginning as management trainee at Commercial Bank in Sri Lanka, he served as Area Compliance Officer HSBC Bahrain, HSBC’s Chief Credit Officer in Bermuda and HSBC’s Chief Risk Officer in Iraq, during a turbulent time of the Global Financial Crisis that spread from the latter half of 2007 to 2010 and it’s aftermath.

He brings well-seasoned experience of the varied challenges faced by households, businesses, MSMEs, financial institutions and even government, during times of economic and political strife to clients of CPA.



Shrimathi de Silva LLB. Hons., University of Kent Law School, brings a wealth of secretarial and administrative experience in the private, state and volunteer sectors both locally and internationally. Her experience offers a cost-efficient, outsourcing option for a range of company secretarial services.
